    Tree Care Assessment

Do you have concerns about a tree on your property? Signs of tree disease and distress can include bare branches, dry leaves, discoloured or damaged foliage and pest infestations. A Tree Care Assessment by a qualified arborist will give you a clear diagnosis about the health of your tree and a professional treatment and care plan to restore it to health.

“Absolutely brilliant service, professional, hard working, efficient and good communication. Highly recommend.”

    Tree Treatment and Care Plan

Once a diagnosis has been established, our arborists will assess the optimum course of action for your tree. Depending on the issue, this could include the application of pesticides or fungicides, structural reinforcement, possum collars, remedial pruning (also called tree surgery), or soil conditioning and fertilisation.

If your tree is fatally damaged or unsafe, we can provide tree removal including helping you apply for any relevant council permits.

    Tree Diseases

Tree diseases are caused by an overgrowth of naturally occurring, fungi and bacteria, and by environmental stresses such as drought, extreme temperatures and pollution. A sick tree can look unwell, unattractive, and can become unstable and dangerous, especially in the later stages of infection.

Tree diseases can be difficult to accurately diagnose because similar outward symptoms can be caused by many different pathogens. It’s important not to waste your time and money on over-the-counter treatments and chemicals which may not address the true cause of the tree’s distress and could, in fact, make it worse.

Our arborists are professionally trained to look for subtle signs and symptoms to accurately assess the pathogens responsible for tree disease. Effective treatments are then prescribed to restore the trees natural health.

    Insect and Pest Infestations

There are a variety of insect species which damage the leaves, stems, branches, flowers, fruit or roots of trees. But not all bugs are bad. Some are benign to trees and actually help keep the nasties under control. It’s important to know the difference so that innocent insects aren’t targeted while the true culprits remain.

Our arborists know how to detect the insects responsible for tree issues and apply effective pest suppression treatments. It’s important to get in touch as soon as you suspect you may have a pest infestation problem. Some insects can inflict a lot of damage to a tree in a relatively short space of time. The sooner the issue is resolved the better the long term outlook for your tree becomes.

    Structural Problems

Structural defects such as cracks and splits, decay, weakly attached branches and poor tree architecture can mean bad news. A structurally unsound tree is a dangerous tree. To avoid the risk of falling branches or complete tree failure make sure your tree is professionally assessed.

Our arborists will identify and thoroughly evaluate the severity of any structural defects and assess the risk of structural or root failure. A comprehensive response plan is then developed which may include the installation of structural supports such as cables and/ or static brace systems or weight reduction pruning.

    Early Detection is Important

Often, by the time a tree is showing clear outward signs of distress, a lot of harm has already occurred. Regular tree care assessments mean that diseases and other issues can be identified and treated early on – before they’ve had a chance to cause serious damage.

If you have any suspicions about the condition of a tree. Or if you would like to ensure the long term health and vitality of a treasured tree, please get in touch to arrange an assessment with one of our arborists.
